Local Resident Brings 120 Gifts to Residents of Schervier Pavilion
Warwick, N.Y. (January 22, 2019) – Niki Folina brought the spirit of community giving to residents of Schervier Pavilion through her "Adopt a Grandparent" program. All 120 residents of Schervier, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), received presents as a result of her work.

Folina's Adopt a Grandparent program asked area businesses to donate gifts to the skilled nursing facility's residents. She then matched each of those contributions. "When you do something for other people, it really matters, both to them and to you. Giving back feels good, all around." Folina and her son Michael delivered the gifts to residents on December 19, 2018.
"Niki captured the true essence of community support in Warwick," said Amanda Levin, Regional Director of Development, Bon Secours Charity Health System. "Community involvement makes a meaningful difference in the quality of life for our residents."
"We are so grateful to Niki and all of the businesses who contributed to Adopt a Grandparent," said Joseph Saye, a resident at Schervier Pavilion. "It is nice to know that our neighbors throughout Warwick keep us in their thoughts."
