The Liver Transplant Program at Westchester Medical Center is celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary and the performance of one thousand liver transplant surgeries. This webinar will review what has changed in the field of liver transplantation over the last two and one-half decades, and what lies ahead. The webinar will review epidemiologic trends in hepatology, changes in organ allocation that have improved patients' access to donor organs, use of HCV-positive organs in HCV negative recipients, and post transplant care for liver transplant recipients.
